The year is winding down as we’ve reached the middle part of December. That means it is time to unveil the list of Best Singles of the year, as ranked by me of course. When I starting putting together this list, I realized that 1) there are several artists who appear twice this year and 2) that female artists have been the most creative, authentic, and truly country artists this year. 2013 CMA Awards: Predicting the Nominees
On Tuesday country music newcomers Florida Georgia Line and Sheryl Crow will announce the nominees for the 47th annual CMA Awards live on Good Morning America. Keeping with ATC tradition, and my love for all things awards shows, I will be attempting to predict which artists will land nominations this year.

Artist to Watch: Kip Moore, The New Heartthrob
Kip Moore made his debut on country radio last year with the fantastic “Mary Was the Marrying Kind,” which made our list of Top Singles of 2011. Now the singer is climbing the charts with his first top 20 hit, “Somethin’ ’bout a Truck.” I think he’ll have major success in 2012 which is why he’s next up in our Artists to Watch series.
